The education system in fictional Persia resembled Sparta's, being exclusive to aristocrats, physically rigorous, and focusing on mentorship in the town square. Merchants were not allowed in the public square for commerce activities. The protagonist experienced a contrast in indulgence and restraint of passions while learning about honor and glory. Intermittent fasting was also highlighted during hunting expeditions, where children refrained from eating until they caught their prey.
