NOTE

Limitations of Rational Breeding and Genetic Mutation

Evolutionary fitness cannot be rationally bred into organisms due to the unpredictability of the future and the reliance on random genetic mutations. While genetic mutation is largely random, repair mechanisms exist to ensure the survival of crucial genes while allowing variation at the fringes. The idea of breeding a 'better' person through rational means is questionable, as it requires comprehensive knowledge of what constitutes 'better' and the ability to create our own values, which is unlikely to be feasible and could lead to catastrophic outcomes. The assumption that intelligent design will lead us to a stated goal in the future is also challenged, as the notion of evolution bringing us to the present is questioned.
