The idea of playing in the Fear was suggested by Bono about two years ago after hearing about the custom-built venue called the sphere in Las Vegas.
The sphere is a multipurpose venue with a high-definition 16K screen and a great sound system for the band.
Performing in the sphere with the combination of imagery and music in good quality reproduction creates an overwhelming and emotional experience for the audience.
The band initially started performing in clubs where there was intimacy and audience participation, and now they have returned to that kind of environment with the sphere shows.
The band initially committed to 24 shows in the sphere but the number has increased to 36 and may even go higher.
I chat with u2's Adam Clayton about being in U2, the band's recent Sphere Vegas shows & he talked openly and honestly about his past addictions & his fab support for Irish Mental Health Charity Walk in My Shoes! #U2 #WalkInMyShoes
