Utilizing Environmental Information for Action

The ratio between the angular size of an object and its angular distance from the horizon provides information that clarifies differences, removes ambiguity, and guides action. This ratio remains constant for approaching objects but not for expanding ones. By focusing on environmental cues, we can directly find the information needed to act without additional processing.
