What Is Odification?
Odification is a concept where existing sounds or data are altered to be within the range of human hearing, such as NASA sonifying low-frequency sun rumbles to make them audible. Audification also includes speeding up recordings, like earthquakes, to be heard by people. Audio icons signal events through sounds like mobile notifications, while parameter mapping converts data values into sound values, adapting real-world sounds to represent data in various ways.
