NOTE

Estrogen Drives Desire

Ovulation plays a crucial role in women's hormone production, particularly in the maturation of egg follicles which leads to estrogen production. High levels of synthetic progesterone and low estrogen negatively affect female sexual desire, as estrogen is key for conception and sexual arousal. Research indicates that during high fertility periods, when estrogen levels peak in naturally cycling women, sexual desire increases significantly. Consistently low estrogen levels negatively impact libido, a concern affecting many women. Additionally, ongoing research over the past two to three decades has explored how women’s ovarian hormones influence their preferences in male partners.
