In ancient Rome and Greece, women were not considered philosophers. However, even the Stoics had their flaws. This meditation explores the idea that offenses committed through desire are more blamable than those driven by anger. It acknowledges that the Stoics lacked knowledge of mental health disorders and addiction, which limits their understanding. While stoic philosophy may have prevented initial drug use, it cannot be the sole treatment for certain conditions. If ancient philosophers had a modern understanding, they would likely reach the same conclusion.
