False Positive Elevates Acetaminophen Level

Bilirubin interferes with acetaminophen concentration, leading to false positive elevations in the presence of liver enzymes, elevated bilirubin, etc. Additionally, high initial acetaminophen levels can lead to elevated INR results. This interference is temporary and the INR will eventually return to normal.
