Memorizing the entire story can lead to performers becoming disconnected from the audience, as they focus on reciting the story line by line. By only memorizing bullet points and the first and last lines, storytellers can maintain a natural flow, emotional connection with the audience, and avoid sounding robotic. It is crucial to remember the first line to ease nervousness and the last line to provide closure, improving the overall storytelling experience.
