The Importance of Face Control in Golf
Swinging way out to the right or way left can lead to inconsistent ball striking. To improve face control and consistency, golfers need to get the face in the right position early in the swing. This allows for easier rotation and better control of the face at impact. Great players have their hips and body more pivoted than high handicappers, which helps with face control.
