Functional overreaching occurs when you are below the baseline but still able to function and recover within a day or two./nNon-functional overreaching happens when you push your body to the point where recovery takes longer and you cannot return to baseline easily./nThe Berlin conference was an example of functional overreaching, while the second conference was non-functional overreaching./nRecovery time and motivation are important factors to consider when measuring physical and emotional metrics.
