The Brutal Economic Sanctions on Gaza: Explained
Gaza, a small and densely populated strip of land, is subjected to a brutal blockade imposed by Israel. This blockade, controlled by Israel, restricts the movement of people and goods in and out of Gaza. Despite the elected government of Hamas, Gazans are unable to freely enter or leave the territory. Gaza is largely inhabited by refugees who were expelled from Israel in 1948. The blockade, which includes control over airspace and waterways, has even included denying the entry of chocolate.
