Introducing Nogoes: A Technique for Suppressing Behavior
We are constantly on the go and rarely rehearse our ability to suppress behavior, or our nogo functions. To combat this, we should intentionally impose nogoes throughout the day, such as delaying a bite of food or enforcing a strict gym routine. Training our nogo pathways is necessary in a society where the phone has made it easy to be constantly distracted, and we lack the supervision we had as children.
