The Concerns About Eritocytosis
Eritocytosis leading to blood clots is rare unless it is polycythemia vera, which is itself a rare condition. Therefore, high hemoglobin levels are typically not a concern for blood clots. The likelihood of blood clots in such cases is minimal. There are usually no other specific lab abnormalities on the CBC to suggest secondary elevated hemoglobin, except for symptoms like shortness of breath.
