The advancement in machine learning technology has greatly improved the efficiency in food recognition and calorie counting. Previously, the process involved multiple steps such as image capture, image processing, individual element analysis, and database cross-referencing. Now, with a single model, the technology accurately identifies various food items and provides detailed information such as the quantity of roasted potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, quinoa, avocado, roasted tomatoes, and turmeric roasted cauliflower. This innovation eliminates the need for using multiple services within AWS, GCP, or Azure to solve such problems, as the advanced model can efficiently decompose the problem, ultimately streamlining the development process.
