Crimes in the Wild

TED Radio Hour

NOTE

Vultures and the Unsolved Mystery

Vultures beat the detective to the crime scene where they found a defleshed arm. The victim's head was in pieces, but the body still had flesh. Feathers and a bloody pine cone were found 40 yards away from the body, which puzzled the detective. Vultures usually don't wander that far and are not attracted to blood. The case is taken up by Lauren Farparks, who finds it intriguing because vultures usually behave according to biology and physics.
