Improving Power, Speed, and Endurance through Interval Training

Interval training can improve power and speed by keeping the time domain short, between 100 and 400 meters for running or equivalent for rowing, with short bouts and longer rest periods. To improve longer endurance, focusing on activities longer than 800 meters for running or 1000 meter repeats for rowing, and exercising longer than two minutes, with shorter rests, can be beneficial. Matching the modality of interval training with the desired improvement, such as running for running improvement, is crucial.
