The Story of Juan Pujol

Aracele Gonzalez had the courage to go to the American Embassy and reveal that her husband, Juan Pujol, was the spy the British were looking for. The Americans believed her evidence and contacted British intelligence. Pujol proved his loyalty and was smuggled out of Portugal to England, where MI5 took over. He was given the codename Garbo, after Greta Garbo, and together with his MI5 officer Tommy Harris, he produced a continuous flow of disinformation to trick the Nazis.
