The Restless Longing for God's Love

Augustine realized that ancient philosophers were wrong in believing that something in the world could fulfill the deepest needs of our hearts. He understood that the true fulfillment comes from loving and being loved by God. Our hearts remain restless until we find rest in Him, as only God can fill the emptiness and cavity within us.
