Regulation and Restrictions on AI Algorithms
The European Union is introducing the AI Act to ban facial recognition for police surveillance except for combating terrorism, marking the beginning of comprehensive legislation on artificial intelligence algorithm usage. It is acknowledged that although more laws and regulations are necessary, the focus is shifting from forcing companies to design safe and ethical algorithms to regulating existing algorithms.
