Modern Wisdom

NOTE

Rationality and Wisdom in Different Types of Knowing

Rationality is a systematic set of practices to address self-deceptive behaviors and consists of logical education and the education of procedural abilities. Mindfulness, for example, is considered a form of rationality as it involves training attention. There are different types of knowing including propositional, procedure, and prospectival knowing, each with their own sense of realness and memory. The hierarchy of these types of knowing fits together in a self-transcending rationality of rationalities, which is considered wisdom.
