The Potential for Engineered Viruses to Become More Dangerous
Engineered viruses have the potential to be much scarier than natural pathogens. They can be designed to infect people without any symptoms, and then activate when exposed to certain conditions, like UV light. This means an entire country could be infected without knowing it, and then suddenly become extremely sick and die. These engineered viruses don't follow the old rules of pathogens and can be much more dangerous. This is in contrast to the current situation in the Middle East.
