The Value of Thomism in Modernity

The great Thomas, Father Reginald Garagulogrand, contended that the value of Thomism for our present age lies in the fact that it restores the love of truth for the sake of truth itself. In modernity a basic choice had to be made, which is prior. Modernity chose knowledge over being, and so subordinated reality to the rational eye. Being in a Thomistic system comes to meet us, and we are not free to determine how and in what form it will do so.
