Focus on Mission and Community Engagement for Church Growth

Rural churches are prompted to evaluate their ability to survive and their engagement in the mission of God. Rather than focusing on size as a measure of success, the emphasis should be on embodying the gospel in a contagious way to attract new members. Small churches can effectively attract new members, baptize adults, and make disciples when the focus is on community engagement and mission, rather than on superficial aspects like age demographics.
