In a world where corruption is pervasive, it's hard to be certain about the fairness of elections. While there may be suspicions and allegations, without solid proof, uncertainty is a logical position to hold. To believe that the electoral process is immune to corruption when all other institutions are tainted would be foolish. The likelihood is that corruption seeps into every long-standing institution. Until concrete evidence emerges, being unsure remains a reasonable stance.
