More than half of surgeries in the country are deemed unnecessary, with the main solution being increased access to physical therapy. Traditional physical therapy compliance rates stand at 30%, while a new approach called SWORD has drastically improved this to 87%. SWORD allows individuals to schedule sessions after hours or on weekends, enabling them to complete an average of five sessions per week, leading to higher compliance and completion rates.
