Democracy in the Nineties

The blairites had their own version of that analysis in the nineties. But their analysis was, ye, this kind of old fashioned representv democracy. It can't really represent what people want any more. And i think een lots of people, people on the right in some cases, but also like people on the left, especially the new left, were saying, from the early sixties, look, this isn't really going to work as society becomes more differentiated and complicated.
