Acne can lead to social anxiety, withdrawal, and low self-esteem, particularly among women, causing a cycle of avoidance that contributes to social isolation. This can make it challenging for individuals to leave the house and engage in social activities. The study also revealed that more than half of participants experienced an impact on their work due to acne, with difficulties concentrating, constant skin picking, and preoccupation with others' perceptions of their appearance.
