NOTE

Exploring Creativity and Self-Organization in Prebiotic Systems

Before the emergence of life, the universe demonstrates a low level of creativity, but not a complete absence, as there exists self-organization in prebiotic systems. The prebiotic world showcases a significant level of self-organization evident in natural phenomena like river valleys and weather systems. Weather on Earth, although influenced by life, existed before life and would be different on other planets like Jupiter or Venus. The concept of weather applies to any system out of equilibrium, reflecting the idea of dissipative systems proposed by Prigogine. These complex systems out of equilibrium develop mechanisms to efficiently dissipate energy, like a whirlpool draining water faster than a non-organized stream. The primary teleology could be the universe's tendency to run down energy as fast as possible, leading to the organization of complex systems out of equilibrium to maximize energy dissipation as the driving force of the system's progression.
