In goal-setting, there are big goals that provide macro motivation and checkpoint goals that are essential milestones on the path to the big goals. Daily systems are the actions needed for tangible progress. Anti-goals are the things to avoid on the journey to achieving big goals, preventing Pyrrhic victories. Anti-goals are about sacrifices like life or sanity not worth making for achieving success. To implement this framework, define specific big and checkpoint goals, establish daily systems, and identify anti-goals by considering the worst possible outcomes and what to avoid to ensure success without sacrificing essential things.
