Beware of Tribalism and Xenophobia

Human nature tends towards xenophobia and tribalism, seeking superiority in group status games. Our brains excel at rationalizing hatred and turning it into a virtue. Intelligence does not protect against falling into the trap of tribalism; in fact, it can make individuals more adept at justifying their animosity towards others.
