Creating and Guarding Culture

When working remotely, it can be challenging to maintain a common culture. Culture is dynamic and created by everyone on the team. To create and guard the culture, discuss values, vision, beliefs, and actions regularly. Share stories that highlight individuals who exemplify the culture and reinforce the values. Remote team members should feel connected and part of something bigger. Remind each other of the vision and mission, and encourage living and breathing it. Symbols and icons can be used to reinforce the vision and mission.
