Tech workers have different demands and issues compared to manufacturing employees with unions. General management entails understanding the core business deeply and making decisions that align with the company's operations. A CEO must also learn to manage people in different roles, even if they haven't done those jobs themselves. Understanding the essence of the company's operations is crucial for effective leadership.
