Every Plant Has Its Benefits

While plants vary in their chemical composition and health benefits, virtually all provide some form of health advantage. There are only a few exceptions with negligible value, like iceberg lettuce. The focus is shifting towards understanding the variety and types of fiber present in plants, acknowledging that there are hundreds of types that can be soluble, insoluble, or somewhere in between. The previous notions about the importance of fiber solubility might be overly simplistic. Additionally, the polyphenol content significantly differentiates plants, contributing to their health impacts, with higher polyphenol levels typically associated with greater benefits.
