Rules of Engagement for Counter Sniper Teams

The rules of engagement for Secret Service counter sniper teams are the same as for any other police officer or agent. They do not need to wait for the sniper to shoot first before taking action. If there is a risk of serious physical injury or death, they are allowed to use their firearm to stop the threat.
