Coaching for Leaders

NOTE

Prioritize Open Time for Strategic Thinking

Modern work environments, especially remote teams, hinder strategic thinking due to excessive meetings and lack of dedicated time. Many employees experience a constant barrage of scheduled commitments, often leading to triple bookings and minimal respect for open calendar space. While some executives may create more favorable conditions for reflection, the reality for most is a crowded schedule that limits opportunities for deep, strategic thought. Organizations often pay lip service to the value of open time, but the reality is that finding even a few hours weekly for strategic thinking, such as employee development, appears impossible due to the overwhelming nature of daily tasks and technology. This underscores the need to consciously carve out time in our schedules to foster critical thinking and development.
