NOTE

Early Customer Development and Problem-Solution Fit Exploration

At the early stage of product development, it is acceptable to be inefficient if it leads to high customer satisfaction. Initially, focus on finding three to five paying customers with an important and urgent problem to solve. The product can be simple, even a manual spreadsheet or a 'wizard of Oz' setup. Building trust with a few known connections is key, avoiding cold outreach. It may take numerous conversations to find these initial customers. Metrics like burn multiple and gross margin are not relevant at this stage. The main indicators of progress are finding customers who need the product and validating that the solution works.
