There is a clear distinction between traditional machine learning workloads like fraud detection, term prediction, and recommender systems, and generative AI workloads such as transcription and large language models (LLMs) like GPT-3. Generative AI workloads, particularly LLMs like GPT-3, excel in tasks like code generation. However, there is not a significant overlap where generative AI models are expected to replace traditional models in all scenarios.
