The Unclear Beliefs and Motivations Behind Acts of Inhumanity

People who committed acts of inhumanity and hatred may have had various beliefs, ranging from seeking revenge to thinking they will be rewarded by God. Even in Gaza, where the approval rate of Hamas is low, it is strange to see them doing such horrible acts in the name of a corrupt and incompetent organization. This is different from ISIS fighters who believed that ISIS represented the will of God and was destined to bring about the end of the world.
