I think your listeners need to know that there's fundamentally three ways to make money in financial markets. You can run some time of momentum trade. Things are going up, so I buy it. That's the second way you can make money infinancial markets is you want to return to the mean trade. The third and most important one: Buy things that are undervalued, buy things that are oversold, and ride them until they become overvalued.
