Ideology without Ideology

Surface level experiences in postmodernism lead to a profound alienation where individuals focus on consuming raw signifiers of an experience, distancing themselves from broader contexts. This results in a default experience of ideology that is devoid of true ideology, creating a sense of being beyond grand narratives. By avoiding universals in a fetishistic manner, postmodernists end up in a worse state than if they were immersed in ideology. This predisposes them to not see the limitations of their own ideology, as ideology thrives by obscuring other perspectives, putting postmodernists at risk of ignorance towards these limitations.
