Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle

In Our Time

NOTE

Bohr's Model and Quantum Mechanics

Bohr's model of electrons in atoms as discrete entities on energy rungs, radiating energy as they move between rungs, explaining the barcode-like spectrum of lines for atoms. The model was ad hoc and lacking detailed equations, similar to the awareness of gravity before Newton's laws of dynamics were formulated. Heisenberg took the first step in formulating the equations of quantum mechanics.
