This physiological response contributes to a high recidivism rate in weight loss, often because individuals are unaware of these unique challenges they face. Educating individuals about these differences can foster a better understanding of their struggles and reduce feelings of inadequacy when comparing themselves to others who have not experienced significant weight loss.
