The Interconnection of Power, Knowledge, and Science

The interconnection of power and knowledge in the modern world is due to the widespread and diffuse nature of power. According to structuralists and post-structuralists, knowledge is not an objective set of facts, but rather the product of dominant cultural discourses and their methods of interpreting the world. As a result, power lies in the hands of those with knowledge, and in the modern world, knowledge is derived from science and its thought leaders. Thus, power ultimately resides with these scientific thought leaders, as per the famous idea of Foucault.
