Value of Life Knows No State

The distinction between different states of consciousness, such as reversible and irreversible comas, challenges the perception of personhood. Being in a reversible coma does not negate one's humanity; similarly, the unborn are not devoid of potential personhood. Instead, they represent a future existence yet to be realized. Moreover, discussions around assisted suicide prompt critical questions about the ethics of helping individuals end their lives. It invites examination of which lives are deemed worthy of assistance and raises the question: should all requests for suicide be supported, or are there circumstances where assistance is inappropriate?
