The Importance and Challenges of Establishing the Luman Archive

The founding of the Luman Ahif archive at Billefel University is important for preserving the literary estate of Luman, a prominent German sociologist. The archive includes a card index with 90 thousand notes documenting Luman's theoretical development from the 1950s to 1997. There are also 200 unpublished manuscripts revealing the intellectual roots of Luman's theory. Making this accessible to the public, especially in a digital format, is crucial for scholars to explore the history of thought and understand the significance of Luman's theory.
