The Unusual Chinese Character Typewriter

Chinese character typewriters were clunky yet eloquent devices with no keyboard. They had two levers to move a tray bed of metal characters and print onto the page. Although slower than English typewriters, they saved the Chinese language from disappearing. This was a sign that technology could adapt to the Chinese language, not the other way around.
