There are strong moral arguments for being good ancestors, especially in preventing irreversible damage such as extinctions and climate change/nFuture generations will likely know more and be richer than us, leading to a case for focusing on our own interests instead of worrying about them/nWe should not make long-term plans for future generations but rather increase possibilities and open up choices for them to decide/nWe are counting on future generations to figure out things that we can't.
