The Limits of a General God-like AI
The idea of a giant godlike general intelligence that can do anything goes against the principles of evolution. Evolution favors specialization over maximum total intelligence in all fields. AI is a new layer that digitizes how we think and the relationships between things we think about. A general god-like AI that can do everything and understand everything is not computationally efficient. Specialized models that focus on explicit tasks are more effective, similar to how a market of specialized individuals is better than a single government doing everything. The fundamental reality does not change when turning into software.
