Knowing is not doing

Discipleship to Jesus involves embodying what is in your mind into your whole life, beyond just knowledge. The Western mindset is focused on the idea of 'I think, therefore I am', which treats humans as thinking machines needing only data to change. However, simply knowing something in your head does not equate to doing something with your body, nor does it represent a true desire from the heart. What we love in our heart and what our body longs for have a greater impact on our actions than mere head knowledge.
